2007-2008 Iowa Tests of Basic Skills Results for Immanuel Lutheran School Each year, students in grades 1-8 participate in the Iowa Test of Basic Skills, a nationally recognized standardized testing program. All students are tested in areas of reading, language, mathematics, and work study skills. Additionally, students in grades 3-8 are tested in the areas of science and social studies. Reading, Language, and Mathematics are considered core skills and are represented here separately by the first three columns. The fourth column is the compilation of those core skills represented by a single core total. Finally, the fifth column is a composite score which sums up in a single score the three core skills plus social studies, science, and sources of information (the use of maps, diagrams, and reference materials). | |||||||||
